The Alamo City is home to a number of military bases, one of the largest medical facilities in the nation, and the Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas development. While the energy industry has taken a hit due to low prices and an appreciating U.S. dollar, San Antonio’s economy is diversified across several sectors and has churned out strong job growth.
